Last week was much better in regards to my painting time. I made good progress on ahriman. I should be able to finish him this week to start with my next model, Kairos Fateweaver. Really looking forward to start painting him.

It may sound strange for a player which owns a lot of space wolves but since i play i wanted to have a thousand sons army. I actually don’t know why i never bought one. Probably there where other stuff which was more important at that time i don’t know.
As Games workshop released the thousand sons again i instantly felt in love with some of the models. So i decided to finish the stuff i bought from forgeworld during our summer holidays and then decide if i still want to paint some of them . So i finished everything , still thought they look cool and then bought these three thousand sons sorcerers. Lovely miniatures if you ask me !
When it comes to painting i have the worse habit that i normally can’t paint stuff the way everything else does. I also wasn’t so amazed by the paint scheme gw chose because i think the gold is too dominant and overused. So when i painted the Cerastus Knight Acheron i used the chance to try out a idea i had how to paint mine. And it really helped. But still the first sorcerer i painted was really hard to paint for me. I probably painted the crown of the head three times trying out different combinations of colors. It was surprisingly hard to me to figure out what color i wanted to paint each piece. Some people use color theories to figure out their colors, and i use it from time to time to, but for me its more about the feeling i have when choosing colors. Some choices just feel right for me. So i needed a long time to get the first sorcerer painted. Some times i was really frustrated because i couldn’t figure out how i wanted him to look. In the end it was IMO definitely worth the effort. Im also a little bit proud about it because i think i was able to push my limit of what im able to paint a little bit higher than before. I love my space wolves and they’re not painted bad but the sons just look better.

At least on the battlefield. At Saturday, the 3.1 6 people have met to play a little apocalypse game.
Tyranids, Thousand Sons and imperial renegades on the one side, Grey Knights, Blood Angels, Black Templars and Space Wolves on the other. Both sides fielded 4500 points. The atmosphere was very good and i suppose everybody had a lot of fun. We don’t have any great rules discussions or something else. Unfortunately , the pictures are not soooo good because of the poor light and i made them with my smartphone camera. I forgot my good camera at home. But hopefully you can get a insight into the game ! Enjoy the pictures !
zumindest auf dem Spielfeld. Samstag den 3.11 haben sich 6 Leute zusammengefunden, um eine kleines Apocalypsespiel zu schlagen.
Tyraniden, Thousand Sonds und Imperiale Renegaten auf der einen, Grey Knights, Blood Angels, Black Templars und Space Wolves auf der anderen Seite . Beide Seiten führten 4500 Punkte ins Feld.
Ich denke wenn ich die allgemeine Stimmung richtig eingeschätzt habe dass es allen 6 beteiligten Spielern großen Spaß gemacht hat. Auch wirkliche Streitigkeiten und große Regeldiskussionen gab es zum Glück nicht.
Dann bleibt mir nur noch zu hoffen, dass euch die Bilder einen kleinen Eindruck des Spiels vermitteln können. Leider ist die Qualität eher schlecht, da ich sie unter schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen mit meiner Handykamera machen musste. Die gute Digitalkamera habe ich leider zu Hause vergessen.
Und nun der dritte Artikel zu Typhus. Warum WIP , mag man sich fragen. Work in Progress deswegen, weil ich irgendwie nicht das Gefühl habe dass das Modell fertig ist. Auf Rat eines Freundes hin habe ich noch eine etwas dunklere Farbe eingebaut und an einigen Stellen hellere Highlights gesetzt. Auch die Farbsprenkel welche das Rostrot mit sich bringt gefallen mir gut. Dennoch….etwas fehlt. Vielleicht ist es auch einfach nur die Mahlzeit. Alles in allem werde ich keine zwei Stunden daran gemalt haben. Eine Zeit, welche für mich schon fast sensationell schnell ist. Ich denke er wird erstmal wieder in das Regal neben meinem Malbereich wandern. Vielleicht küsst mich die Muse ja noch einmal und mir fällt ein, was fehlt.
So, heute Abend habe ich Typhus grundiert und einen ersten Mischversuch versucht. Eine 1 ml Mischung von Death World Forest und Nurgling Green im Mischverhältniss 50/50 angemischt. Jetzt mal sehen, ob das Döschen tatsächlich dicht bleibt. Details werden folgen, wenn ich dazu komme. Continue reading
So, und wieder ist eine Woche ins Land gegangen. Der Wochenrückblick für die letzte Woche ist ja leider ausgefallen ,da der Blogtroll den falschen Monat für die Veröffentlichung eingetragen hat. Also gibt’s die Woche etwas mehr das sich anzuschauen lohnt.

So, nachdem er jetzt eine ganze Weile unbeachtet auf der Werkbank stand, habe ich doch etwas Zeit gefunden mich um den guten Typhus zu kümmern. Für den Anfang bekam er ein paar Ergänzungen um die Oberfläche noch etwas Nurgeliger zu gestalten.
So, gestern Abend habe ich mal einen kleinen Versuch gestartet, was die netten Seiten an Väterlichen Nörgle angeht.
Einmal ein kleiner Farbversuch mit einem Farbverlauf von Catachan Green (dunkel ) über Camo Green zu Rotting Flash. Die Farben dazwischen sind eine 50/50 Mischung der jeweiligen beiden Primärfarben.
Ich bin noch nicht sicher, ob nicht noch eine vierte Farbe hinzukommt, die mehr ins braune spielt. Aber für einen ersten kurzen Versuch bin ich zufrieden. War auch nicht der ideale Untergrund. War aber grad zur Hand 🙂 Eine kleine Palette für Hautteile und Innereien habe ich auch schon zusammengestellt. Etwas Überlegung muss ich noch in die Farben für die Metallteile und ähnliches stecken. Glänzende Flächen sind ja eher nicht so Nörgle-Like. Ich werde mal sehen ob ein einfaches untermischen von Rotting-Flesh bei der jeweiligen Metallfarbe dem ganzen einen etwas fauligen Touch gibt. Ihr seht also , es gibt noch jede Menge zu versuchen. Ein paar Ideen zur Base-Gestaltung habe ich mir auch schon gemacht, aber das wird wohl in einem anderen Post Platze finden,wenn es soweit ist.

Ich hatte ja schon hier geschrieben wird dass es langsam Zeit wird für ein kleines Nebenprojekt. Natürlich gibt es noch einiges bei den Wölfen, was ich zumindest weil es toll aussieht gerne hätte , aber etwas Geld wird sich sicherlich noch für das andere Projekt finden.
